La Jolla Group Inc, which claims to be the world’s premier multi-brand apparel licensing company with a portfolio of brands including O’Neill Clothing USA, Metal Mulisha, Rusty and FMF clothing, has expanded its operation into Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the opening of La Jolla EMEA Ltd in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

The new operation will manage the expansion of brands with global licence rights, including motocross clothing brands Metal Mulisha and FMF apparel and will handle all marketing and sales functions across the EMEA. Adrian Phillips, who previously worked for Fox Europe as European sales director, has been appointed as sales director and will work with current distributors as well as seeking new opportunities in the region.

This is an exciting opportunity in the EMEA to grow the brands and continue to expand the business model and visibility at distributor, dealer and consumer level for all the brands with global licences,” said Phillips. “The casual apparel sector of the market is a great add-on sale for the motorcycle dealer and an area that can often be overlooked. The opportunity with our brands is for the consumer to buy everyday clothing and accessories that links them to the lifestyle of motorcycling when they are on or off the bike.”
