Marc Potter, the long-serving Motor Cycle News editor who abruptly left MCN parent Bauer Media to join leading insurance broker Bennetts as supremo of its Bike Social website last year, has moved on again — to Mortons Media Group.

Lincolnshire-based Mortons has announced his appointment as publisher for its market-leading portfolio of classic motorcycling magazines, starting at the end of May.
Speaking about his new position, Potter said: “I’m genuinely excited to be joining Mortons. The company has some ambitious plans for the future, and I can’t wait to bring my knowledge gained from nearly 20 years in media to the firm and get stuck in. I’ve enjoyed my time running Bike Social immensely, but when the role of publisher came up it was an opportunity that couldn’t be missed. I know from bumping into Mortons staff over the years that there are some incredibly knowledgeable and talented people, exciting brands and great products in Horncastle. I’m sure that by bringing my editorial background, experience and passion for motorcycling, digital and publishing to the teams we can make a real difference together.”
