Michael Rutter will be guest of honour at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic show, to be held at Newark Showground on 6/7 January. Rutter began racing as a teenager in the early 1990s, following in the footsteps of his father, Tony. Rutter has amassed 14 North West 200 wins, an unequalled eight Macau victories and five Isle of Man TT wins. And he is still on winning form in the BSB Superstock class.

Exhibition manager Nick Mowbray said of Rutter: "Owing to his laid-back, modest approach to his sport, Michael has always been a fan’s favourite and he is guaranteed to share some great stories, not just about his own career but what it was like growing up with a legendary racer for a father, during his stage appearances over the weekend.

“We’ve worked hard over the past five years to establish the Carole Nash Winter Classic as the official start to the classic year, and this year we’re really pulling out all the stops. Owing to the high demand from clubs and trade alike, two new halls have been added, making the largest show in this fantastic event’s short History. We can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!”

Scooters and the scooter scene have always formed an important part of the show and for January 2018 the scooter halls will feature a Mods and Rockers theme.
