Hull, East Yorkshire – £22,500-£27,500 per annum

At 5-Ways Motorcycle Centre we have an enviable reputation for success and the delivery of a first class customer experience. Following on from what has been a hugely challenging last year or so for most of us, we're looking for the right candidate to come and join us as our Service Department Controller.

Main responsibilities

  • To organise, manage and operate the Service Dept within East Yorkshire's largest franchised dealership, optimising the use of available resources and ensuring that the highest level of customer service is maintained.
  • To ensure the service customers receive prompt, courteous and effective repair of their motorcycles within the guidelines of the policies and procedures of the dealership.
  • To ensure customer data is recorded.
  • To carry out various database activities, including customer follow up, service/mot reminders and ad hoc campaigns.
  • To administer warranty repairs and claims in accordance with manufacturer and dealer guidelines.
  • To promote & sell accessories, performance upgrades, and ad hoc promotional items.
  • To manage the most effective way of carrying out the work required, taking account of the skills of the workforce, the priorities of the business and the cost implication.
  • To ensure all work is correctly invoiced and payment received. Handle customer queries courteously and within company policy at all times.
  • To maintain close liaison with customers in order to achieve maximum customer retention.
  • Ensure all staff are trained as required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the franchise.
  • To be responsible for the standards of personal appearance, health & safety and discipline and work within the department.

Ideal Candidate
Experience gained in an automotive or motorcycle workshop and service environment together with a passion for motorcycles and scooters.

Highly organised and efficient individual, willing to take on responsibility and able to fit into a small and tightly knit, energetic team. Computer literate.

Previous experience with the Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki brands would be advantageous but not essential.

The final salary awarded to the successful candidate will be linked to existing qualifications and experience. Full manufacturer-specific training will be provided as necessary.
