What are we after?
We are looking for a dynamic Race Service Coordinator who can help us deliver our sponsorship programme to enable us to demonstrate the quality of our products, enhance visibility of our brands in the paddock and support our ambitious growth plans for 2022 and beyond.

What your responsibilities will be…

  • Event Management
  • Managing the development and activation of the UK Race Service at key events – BSB rounds, IOM TT, NW200 and activation at dealer open days and brand led shows and events
  • Set up of the Race Service facility at each event and provide a professional race support service:
  • Support riders with cleaning, servicing helmets and support custom fit for racers
  • Airbag suit guidance and gas canister replacement
  • Ensuring riders receive clear communication about the rider support available
  • Supporting sponsored racers with free of charge replacement products, eg  knee & elbow sliders & visors not exceeding a predefined budget

Stock Management & Sales

  • Maximising opportunities to sell kit to unsupported riders
  • Management of sales cash, card takings and stock on site, ensuring  any sales reconcile with card/ cash takings
  • Ensure all free of charge (FOC) product issued to riders are recorded correctly
  • Work with internal teams to ensure sufficient stock/ support items are ordered / available for the season to support riders
  • Work out the season order requirements and liaise with the brand or brand managers to arrange re-allocation of FOC visors and FOC custom padding/parts and fitting issues
  • Monitor/keep records of all issues of FOC visors for supported riders at BSB/TT & other meetings/ancillary requirements.

Suit Repairs

  • Liaising with riders ref crashed suits, rebadging, adjustments, crashed helmets, custom padding, airbag suits, replacement gas cannisters etc.
  • Ensure the crash damage suit and badging processes works effortlessly with the UK Returns/ Repairs team and riders
  • Cleaning and de-amouring suits
  • Creating / cutting/ placing badges on suits
  • Re-amouring suits
  • Checking airbag functionality prior to issuing to the rider
  • Liaise with riders out of season for any suit repairs from testing etc and any ancillary support requirements

We’re looking for someone who...

  • Is not afraid to get stuck-in. This role may sound easy but hard graft is at its heart, with the need to work under pressure to deliver effective support for riders in all weather conditions
  • Has racing experience to understand the needs of a rider in a race capacity to be able to offer the best support
  • Has experience in event, race, rider sponsorship management from operational support through to review and search for new talent
  • Enjoys a challenge, can work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Has superb verbal and written communication skills and the ability to switch styles depending on the audience
  • Is an excellent organiser who can multitask and prioritise multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Has excellent knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office tools – primarily Excel and Outlook
  • Has a full clean driving licence, can work weekends and is willing to travel around the UK
