The Role
We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Trainer based at our offices in Bourne End. It is an important role that works closely with our dealers, KMUK staff and others to deliver high quality training on all our products.

Main Tasks
Working with the Technical Service Department you will be assessing annual training needs of both of our respective Motorcycle, ATV, Utility Vehicle and Personal Watercraft dealer networks as well as internal training.

Once the training needs have been identified, you will be expected to compile and put together various courses working with material already available within the Kawasaki environment along with preparation of unique training material.

You will need to be well versed in presentation and training skills as you deliver training courses regularly at Bourne End HQ in Buckinghamshire as well as regionally on an as required basis.

Maintaining dealer and internal staff training records and issuing certificates to successful candidates will form part of the regular admin required, so sound PC skills are required.

Regular assessment of Dealer Technicians to ensure they reach and maintain the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) at diagnostic level under the watchful eye of the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is another key task ensuring that a high level of expertise is available within the Kawasaki Motorcycle Dealer network.

You should also be prepared to assist at regional shows or events from time to time where technical support is required.

A diverse, dynamic, and engaging role needs someone who is knowledgeable, experienced, has great communication skills and is able to work both unilaterally and as part of a team.

Skills and Qualities Required

  • Proven experience in a similar training role
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge of Motorcycles, Utility Vehicles, ATV and Personal Watercraft essential
  • Excellent grasp of English both written and oral
  • A high standard of presentation and communication skills with the ability to motivate and adapt to each delegate
  • The ability to plan effectively and adapt to manufacturer disciplines and procedures
