A new brand of child-friendly machines, Blitz has started out with three battery-powered mini bikes and quads.

The smallest in the range is the Mini balance bike. Powered by a 24V, 250W motor the 23kg, rigid-framed machine is for youngsters aged from two years old who are starting off their two-wheeled adventures. It has adjustable speed settings and a range of 12km… although letting a two year old ride that far may not be a good plan. It comes in black, green, orange or red with a sticker pack for a bit of personalisation for an SRP of £299.

Next up is the Trail balance bike. A more rugged-looking machine with a nod to motocross styling, the Trail packs a 36v 500W motor for a bit more power and is recommended for kids over three years old. Cable-operated disc brakes bring the front and rear wheels to a halt, and there are upside-down suspension forks and a rear monoshock to provide some shock absorbtion. Maximum velocity can be limited to 5, 11 or 19mph as required. It comes in black, green, orange or red with a sticker pack for an SRP of £399.

The Blitz Renegade is an electric-powered quad with a 36V 1000W motor and a battery providing a 12km range and a top speed which can be regulated to 5, 11 or 19mph. Retardation is provided by front and rear disc brakes and suspension is provided by twin shocks at the front and a single rear shock. LED front headlights complete the package. Available in green only at an SRP of £499.

All machines come partially disassembled so will require some spannering before use, and come with a three month parts-only warranty.
