Citing extensive research among off-road bikers as the inspiration behind the new GRT711, Givi says the rucksack is aimed at users of maxi-trail machines. The bag is made from high-density 1200D polyester with Hypalon inserts and has an overall capacity of 25 litres. Features include a thermoformed EVA backplate which helps with airflow, and padded shoulder straps with adjustable chest and waist straps to stop the bag bouncing around too much. Not only does Givi claim that the GRT711 is waterproof but, thanks to the roll top closure, it says the bag can be hermetically sealed making it airtight. So don’t use it for carrying your pet hamster with you on your travels!
The main inner compartment incorporates a zipped pocket for documents and keys is waterproof in its own right, as well as removable. A separate smartphone pocket is included and there’s a large removable bag for storing boots. Theres a compartment to take an optional drinks bottle with provision for guiding a drinking tube, numerous hooks, rings and slots for strapping extra stuff on, and other bags from the Gravel-T range can be connected too.
The GRT711 rucksack retails for £153.
