Harley-Davidson owners and fans from across Europe and afield partied in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, between 5-8 July to celebrate 115 years of the Milwaukee-based manufacturer. The event was kick-started with live music from The Rolling Stones ahead of the opening ceremony, followed up with more live music over the weekend and headlined by The Hives.
The manufacturer’s 115 years of heritage was represented with memorable classic Harleys on display, plus an array of one-offs in the Custom Bike Showdown in the Dark Custom Arena. Stunt shows, biker games and freestyle MX wowed the huge crowds, as did the All Star Fight Muay Thai European Championship that was televised worldwide.
The biggest eye-opener was the parade of more than 3000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles through the historic centre of Prague, the streets lined by well-wishers and families keen to see such a spectacle.
Meanwhile, a week-long celebration of bikes and beards awaits as the popular BarbersRide charity ride returns for 2018 – and this year all barbering seminars will be hosted at Harley-Davidson dealerships. If custom style suits you, BarbersRide 2018 takes place 4-9 August, so there’s still time to take part in the whole ride or simply attend one of the evening seminars.
