award for champion of riders' rights

At the Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA) committee meeting in Brussels, Maria Nordqvist from Swedish motorcyclists’ association SMC was awarded the David Dingley Memorial Award by Jim Freeman, chairman of the British Motorcylists Federation (BMF).

The award was given to Maria for services to motorcycling. Nordqvist has been an active player in riders’ rights for 20 years.

This is the second time the award was given out; the first award was given to Morten Hansen from the Norwegian motorcyclists’ organisation (NMCU) in 2017, in recognition of his work.
