JG Speedfit Kawasaki British Superbike Championship contender Leon Haslam has been appointed as a brand ambassador for Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles. His remuneration for such onerous duties is a limited edition Vauxhall Vivaro Nav 145 double-cab van, accessorised with tailgate, tow bar and ply lining, for personal use throughout the season.
Liveried in a tasteful shade of blue with black alloys, it is an extension of Vauxhall’s involvement in the MCE BSB series as a whole this year. It has provided a fleet of six vans to race organiser MotorsportsVision for both track and off-site support. These comprise four Movano and two British-built Vivaro panel vans. The manufacturer has also unveiled a pair of new concept vans, its first in over a decade, that have been specially designed to celebrate its partnership with BSB.
Commenting on his company’s additional relationship with Haslam, Vauxhall Commercial brand manager Brad Miller said: “We are delighted to have Leon on-board and are glad he’s pleased with his new Vivaro double-cab. We look forward to working with Leon and wish him a speedy recovery from his fall at Knockhill.”
