Chris Lees (Mr Motolux) dies

Chris Lees, the man who put Motolux and its Highway Hawk chrome accessories range on the map in the UK, died on 5 September. He was 71.

In the industry for 54 years, he commenced his career at Sammy Miller’s, New Milton, Hants, showrooms in the early 70s. After a spell racing sidecarcross in France, he returned to the UK to work for Powersport, the Christchurch, Hants, Honda dealer, as sales manager before moving into the distribution side of the industry. He retired from Motolux in 2013.

The funeral was held on 15 September.
