distributor takes a tilt at quadro

Quadro – the tilting scooter manufacturer – has a new UK distributor who is looking forward to the “exciting opportunity” of promoting the Swiss-made urban mobility machines.

The three and four-wheel range of vehicles has been taken on by Yorkshire-based Mobile Retail. It’s run by Rob Dixon who also imports, distributes and converts the Piaggio commercial range of APE three-wheelers.

When it comes to Quadro, Dixon is in close contact with the MCIA and the government to ensure its fingers are on the pulse of the push for low-emission light vehicles.

“The Quadro is right up the street of what the government is talking about on urban mobility and transport solutions,” said Dixon. “London is going to be massive, and we are targeting other cities. I think the range is ideal for us.”

Whilst acknowledging that it was going to take time for the urban mobility message to filter through to dealers and the public, Dixon said he would be adopting a new approach to distributing Quadro (more in BDN), whose range comprises the Oxygen, an electric two-wheel scooter; the QV3 three-wheeler, which can be driven on a car licence; and the four-wheel Qooder, said to be the first and only vehicle in the world with four tilting wheels. It also comes as the eQooder and the xQooder models.
