EXPO: Kiddimoto sells the Marc Marquez dream

Kiddimoto was at Expo displaying the new Marc Marquez wooden balance bicycle for children which has instantly become Kiddimoto’s best seller.
As the range has expanded, so have sales, and Kiddimoto can claim growth in every one of its 12 years on the scene, said marketing assistant Richard Kennedy. Last year was 20 per cent up on 2013.
The product has family appeal and therefore vast sales potential. The 300 stockists in the UK include retail chain John Lewis. But Kiddimoto wants more motorcycle dealers on board, hence the Expo presence.
“We need to develop in the motorcycle market which is key for us,” said MD Simon Booth. “We are looking to develop relationships with more dealers. We are working on new strategy and display options, and we have new products launches planned for the spring or summer.”
Retail prices start at £7.99 for gloves and £49.99 for bikes.
Kiddimoto gets to international trade shows and is building up its export markets. America and Australia are about to join in the fun and games, said Kennedy who has been with Kiddimoto for ten years.
