extended bike range heralds new era

Cambridge engineering firm Encocam has set its sights high: it’s aiming to develop an all new range of cool custom bikes, which it plans to build in the UK. And it’s on the hunt for new dealers to help it make the journey.

Currently, the firm imports its line of Herald motorcycles from China, and revamps them with higher-quality components at its UK workshop. But, as the company’s business development manager, Rob Croxall, told BDN, the company is planning to go much further. The ultimate aim is to have its own large-capacity motorcycles designed and produced in Britain.

Herald recently announced sponsorship of the Original Wall Of Death show. The company has supplied three modified Classic 250cc models for the Hell Riders Race that is the finale of the show. The bikes made their debut at the recent Dirt Quake event and will feature at numerous motorcycling, motoring and music festivals over the next year.

Luke Fox, the star rider and owner of the Wall Of Death, says the bikes are perfect for the show. They have been specially painted in red, white and blue to replicate the colours of the famous Minis in the Italian Job film, to add to the drama of the three-rider race on the wall.

Full story in future issues of BDN.
