four tyco bmws stolen after nec show

The string of bike thefts continues. Four Tyco BMW race bikes have been stolen from a race transporter parked at the Premier Inn near the NEC.

The theft took place between 10.30pm on Sunday, 27 November and 6.30am this morning, 28 November. The Premier Inn is on Northway, Birmingham B40 1QA.

The bikes are reported to have been taken away in a white Ford Transit. Anyone in the area who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact TAS Racing [028 8674 8097] or ring West Midlands Police on contact number 101 and ask for PC Shaw [21901].

Team Manager Philip Neill told BDN: “We put our heart and soul into motorcycle racing and these bikes have real sentimental value. For this to happen is just devastating, especially as the bikes were only at Motorcycle Live so that race fans could see them up close and personal.”

The stolen bikes are Ian Hutchinson’s treble-winning Superstock Tyco BMW S1000RR; Christian Iddon’s Tyco BMW S1000RR British Superbike; Guy Martin’s Tyco BMW Superbike (pictured right); Christian Iddon’s Tyco BMW S1000RR Superstock test bike (plain white livery).
