The HJC helmet brand is already massive in the motorcycle world – but now it’s also going to be on show in Formula One racing. The firm has signed a deal with the Championship-winning Oracle Red Bull Racing team to become the official supplier of pit crew head protection gear. The crew will be wearing HJC’s RPHA 90 and F70 models during practice sessions, qualification, and the race itself.
Oracle Red Bull Racing team principal and CEO Christian Horner said “Safety is our absolute priority. Formula One is a team sport and nowhere is that better exemplified than during a pit stop, when hundredths of a second can win or lose a Grand Prix. It can be a chaotic and hazardous environment and giving our award-winning pit crew safe and comfortable head protection is of the utmost importance.”
HJC CEO S.J. Hong, added “We are very pleased to collaborate with 2021 F1 Driver’s Championship winning team, Oracle Red Bull Racing. With the pit crew playing a critical role in the team’s success, we are happy to supply the team with high quality HJC helmets to provide protection and enhance their performance.”
