huge response to launch of Welsh road races

The launch at Motorcycle Live over the weekend of a new Welsh road race has been welcomed by racing fans, according to the event’s organisers.

The Eppynt Welsh Road Races will be held on 4/5 August, 2018, around a 5.25-mile circuit in the Brecon Beacons.

Facilities and sponsorship director Phil Morris has confirmed that over the first two days of the show at the NEC in Birmingham, no fewer than 82 road racers registered their interest in racing and 2000 tickets had been reserved.

“The interest from the road race competitors, many of whom compete regularly on ‘pure’ road courses, has been very encouraging,” said Morris. “We are delighted that more than 80 have confirmed their intension to be on the grid next August.”
