HULL DEALER KILLED AT TT

Well-known Hull dealer Frank Robinson, 67-year-old founder and owner of multi-franchise 5-Ways Motorcycle Centre on the city’s Walton Street, has sadly died following a bike accident on the Isle of Man.

Frank, a keen TT enthusiast, had been visiting the Island for the races since he was 16. His Triumph was involved in a head-on collision with a Suzuki between Ballaleece bridge and Tynwald hill on the Peel-St Johns road about half a mile from Ballacraine on the TT course.

The accident took place at about 5pm on Friday 3 June, shortly before the final TT evening practice session was due to start. With three casualties, including a rider and pillion passenger from Liverpool on the Suzuki, emergency services were quick on the scene with an airmed helicopter and two ambulances. Frank was then flown to Nobles Hospital in Douglas but declared dead on arrival at A&E.
