NORTON PROPERTY PORTFOLIO FOR SALE

Disgraced Norton boss Stuart Garner’s desirable residence and other buildings set in a portion of Donington Park that comprised Norton Motorcycles’ campus have been put on the market with an asking price of slightly more than £13m.

Insolvency practitioner BDO, as administrator of Norton Motorcycles, Donington Hall Estates and Priest House Hotel, has commissioned commercial property agent Sanderson Weatherall to dispose of these assets. Presumably proceeds will be used to pay off defaulted mortgages.

The portfolio includes historic stately home Donington Hall (pictured, where Garner lived in some style), Priest House Hotel, Hastings House, the Lansdowne Buildings, Kings Mills caravan park and the 80-acre site. Sanderson Weatherall says planning consents are in place for a substantial extension to Priest House Hotel and a development of woodland lodges within the grounds.
