oxford products donates life-saving equipment to school

Oxford Products has bought an external defibrillator for the local primary school in West Witney.

The global motorcycle and bicycle accessories distribution company learned that school council members at West Witney Primary School felt the closure of the Deer Park Medical Centre had left the residents of Deer Park quite vulnerable and they felt that installing a defibrillator in the school grounds would be a good idea for the local community.

The school has said it is “thrilled that local company Oxford Products has kindly sponsored the cost of an external defibrillator”.

Oxford MD Andrew Hammond explained: “Safety is at the heart of our products, so it made complete sense to do our bit to keep the local community safe.”

Local electricians (and parent at the school) Howse & O’Reilly kindly installed the life-saving equipment to the outside wall of school facing the car park for use in an emergency by anyone in the local area.

The new defibrillator was supplied by local company, and parent of the school, Oxfordshire First Aid which has also kindly offered to hold a free training session for staff, parents and local residents which will be held at school in the near future.
