PGH EXPANDS WITH BANK’S HELP

Scarborough-based PGH Motorcycles and Breakers has moved to larger premises on the seaside resort’s Victoria Road, backed by a funding deal from Yorkshire Bank. This was arranged through Simon Walker, relationship manager at the bank’s North Yorkshire Customer Banking Centre.

The 15-year-old business now occupies a retail site with two floors of new and used bikes, offering Peugeot, AJP, GasGas, Fantic and KSR franchises. Three more storeys are occupied by PGH’s online new and used parts operation.

PGH owner Pete Henson said: “Yorkshire Bank has been crucial to developing the site and getting it off the ground. Thanks to the bank’s support, we are now in a strong position to grow our share of the market, increase turnover and potentially create new jobs. Moving took a lot of hard work, but we’re over the moon with the site. Having a much bigger showroom means we’re able to display bikes in a more organised fashion and we have plenty of space for clothing and accessories. We’ll also be able to build the online side, which is growing rapidly with customers in Israel, the US, Russia, Latvia and China.”
