Quarterly tax delay

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has welcomed the decision by the government to delay plans for quarterly tax reporting. The FSB sees the development as a victory for small firms.

The plans were axed from the Finance Bill which is now being rushed through Parliament before the election. FSB has been campaigning hard against the changes which would disproportionately hit small firms with extra costs. Mike Cherry called on the next government to carefully rethink the plans post election.
