Race sponsor diversifies into workshop equipment

Most BSB sponsors simply send a cheque to their race teams each year, then sit back and enjoy the racing from the hospitality tent at each round. But water engineering firm KGN Pillinger is much more involved with its sponsored team, Tommy Hill’s ePayMe Yamaha outfit. The team workshop is based at KGN’s factory in Croydon, and the firm uses its stainless steel fabrication expertise to build all the team’s pit garage equipment.

The day job at KGN is producing massive pump and boiler installations for hotels, factories and hospitals – so they’re massively experienced at stainless steel and aluminium engineering. And the firm’s now launching its range of workshop equipment – workbenches, stands and racking to order, or off the shelf – to the bike trade.
