record number of bikes at vintage show

A record 226 motorcycles will be on show at the 42nd Annual Gloucester Vintage and Country Extravaganza Show on 5-7 August, according to organisers. The event, to be held at the South Cerney Airfield in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, is run by the Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club.

The show is widely regarded as one of the biggest and best steam, vintage and countryside events in the UK and attracts thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the county and actively raises money for both national and regional charities.

Organisers promise a massive trade stand area.

The motorcycle section includes manufacturers from England, Italy, Japan, India, and the USA with bikes by Honda, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson, Moto Guzzi, HRD, AGS, James, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Rudge, Baker, BMW, Norton, Velocette, BSA, Panther, Francis Barnett, Matchless and Greeves. There will also be an abundance of Lambretta’s to celebrate the mods and rockers era and the show will host the Cotton Motorcycle Club national meeting.
