suzuki celebrates apprenticeship graduates

Suzuki GB welcomed new graduates at the firm’s annual apprentice ceremony, held at Donington Park race circuit in Leicestershire.

Marking the end of three years of study, successful graduates came from both the Motorcycle Service Technicians course and the Parts Consultants course, with all having studied at Suzuki’s purpose-built training facility in Doncaster and at their respective dealerships.

The motorcycle graduates included Thomas Crooks, Crooks Suzuki; James Maxted, Robinsons Foundry; William Hodges, Bridge Motorcycles; and Douglas Allan, Cupar Motorcycles.

All graduates received their Level Three Advanced Apprenticeship Award, with presentations made by Suzuki’s director of aftersales, Denis Houston, and MD Nubuo Suyama.

Houston commented: “It’s a real privilege to be able to celebrate these achievements with the future of our industry. The hard work that these students have put in to achieve this is not only a testament to them personally but to dealerships that have supported them through this process.

“Developing the skills of our apprentices is not only an excellent way of strengthening our performance in the market now, but prepares us and our network for the future. A very big congratulations to all of our graduates this year.”

Crooks Suzuki says Tom Crooks is a third-generation member of the family-run dealer in Barrow-in-Furness.

Suzuki GB head of training, Richard O’Brien, commented: “It has been an absolute pleasure to have Tom on our apprentice programme. The Crooks family is synonymous with our brand, so to be able to help the third generation of this incredible family graduate is an honour for us all. I am sure Tom’s family are as proud of him as we are of them all.”
