'TOP PRICES' PAID AT JULY VINTAGE SALE

Cheffins Cambridge Vintage Sale at Sutton on Saturday, 15 July saw top prices paid for classic and vintage tractors, motorcycles, classic cars and other collectibles. 

Classic motorcycles were said to be popular. With 41 for sale, 33 found new homes, demonstrating a sale rate of over 80%. A 1978 Triumph Bonneville with only 84 miles on the clock sold for £7560 and a 1954 BSA Road Rocket tribute machine sold for £5940. Also on offer was the late Derek Yorke’s collection of motorcycle trophies which sold for £3600, with all proceeds donated to the TT Riders Association in memory of his 34 years in motorcycle racing.

The next vintage sale will be the Harrogate Vintage Sale at the Great Yorkshire Showground on Saturday, 19 August. The next Cambridge vintage sale will take place in October.
