two more mv dealers shut up shop

Ed Cosker Superbikes, a flagship dealer for MV Agusta, and Hampshire MV have gone out of business in a double blow to the shrinking UK network of the troubled Italian manufacturer.

A sale of used stock has been scheduled for 20 December.

Ed Cosker Superbikes opened in February 2015, at Bromyard, Herefordshire, where he shared the Collington Works premises with Slater Laverda, which formerly imported Laverda and now provide spares and service.

Prior to news of the Italian manufacturer’s financial troubles, Cosker told BDN he had 100 MVs in stock and that he intended to launch his own-branded MV clothing and accessories.

This week he declined to comment.

Anyone Googling Hampshire MV is directed to MV dealer Alf’s Motorcycles of Worthing, West Sussex, which has taken over the defunct dealership’s website. Alf’s Motorcycles declined to comment.

Hampshire MV has been removed from MV Agusta’s network of dealers in the UK but Ed Cosker is still listed on the website. Excluding Ed Cosker, there are 11 dealers listed.

Dave Wilson of MV UK is on holiday and unable to comment.
