tyre manufacturer provides SSDT updates

Michelin, in association with Trial Magazine, is reporting daily on the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) which runs until 6 May, based around Fort William.

The updates are broadcast each morning of the six days with the Nevis Radio Station based in the start area. Hosted by John Weller, left, and John Moffat the show includes live rider interviews along with the latest SSDT news.

The competition is the largest trials event in the world, offering 280 international competitors six days of trials action in the mountainous Highland location.

Last year saw Dougie Lampkin take his record-breaking 10th win on his Spanish fuel-injected Vertigo. While Gas Gas rider Michael Brown followed in second place with Lampkin’s fellow Vertigo rider, James Dabill, in third. All top three riders chose Michelin tyres.

Michelin says it has a long and proud sporting heritage with the SSDT going back to the late 1970s, taking the first Michelin win in 1981 with French rider, Gilles Burgat and continuing through to the most recent in 2016 with Lampkin.
