Warr’s Harley-Davidson, Kings Road, London, is the winner of the Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland 2016 Battle of the Kings (BOTK) custom contest and becomes holder of the national “Custom King 2016” title.
The deciding round of Battle of the Kings was held at the prestigious Bike Shed London exhibition on 27 May.
The national final saw a select panel of judges from all aspects of motorcycling vote on five BOTK finalist machines as chosen by online public voting from an original entry line-up of 30 Harley-Davidson dealer-built custom Iron 883 motorcycles. The end result led to Warr’s Harley-Davidson taking the win.
Warr’s Harley-Davidson was defending its Custom King status after winning the inaugural BOTK contest in 2015 with its stunning Dark Custom Urban Racer Sprint based on the XL1200 Sportster Forty-Eight.
For 2016, Warr’s came to the public voting stage with Rascal Racer, an immaculate modern interpretation of the iconic Harley-Davidson XLCR Cafe Racer. As with all entries to BOTK 2016, the base bike used for Warr’s Dark Custom entry was the Sportster Iron 883 from the Harley-Davidson Dark Custom range, achieved within a maximum retail price of both bike and customisation of £12,995.
Warr’s Harley-Davidson and its victorious “Rascal Racer” will now go forward to represent Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland at the BOTK grand finale to be held at Wheels & Waves rally in Biarritz, 8-12 June.
