H. E. Webber and Sons Ltd which has been distributing motorcycle parts and accessories to the trade in and around London since 1934, is to close.
The company, based in Harrow, is running down its stock. It employs three staff.
At its peak Webber employed six but despite providing old-fashioned personal service, with same-day delivery, business had been declining over recent years and internet competition is reported to be to blame for the closure.
The company was founded by “H.E.” and continued under Michael and Malcolm Webber. The company was sold two years ago and the current owner, whom BDN could not contact, is listed as Nishma Palasuntheram. It is thought he is a property developer.
