Ageas beefs up its Optima Bike policy

International insurance group Ageas, the second-largest wholesale motor insurer in the UK, has widened the scope of its Optima Bike motorcycle policy in terms of models covered. Ageas, which acquired and rebranded Carole Nash parent Groupama’s British underwriting business in 2012, says the enhancement will provide brokers looking to grow their motorcycle business with a strong sales proposition.

Ageas motorcycle development underwriter Robin Broughton explained: “We have implemented a more sophisticated rating system which means we are able to improve our pricing on a wider range of vehicle ages, types and values. This development really underlines our commitment to remain at the forefront of the motorcycle insurance market, giving brokers serving the motorcycling community the tools they need to secure business as the season really gets under way.”
