PLUNGE INTO LOSSES FOR ARCTIC CAT

In its full-year financial results to 31 March 2016, US powersports manufacturer Arctic Cat reported revenue falling by 9.4% to £439.9m. The company suffered a loss of £6.4m, against a net profit of £3.4m in the previous 12 months.

Revenue increased during the final quarter by 22.7% to £84.4m, thanks to a boost from new quadbike and side-by-side ATV model wholesale shipments to dealers. However, higher supportive marketing spend generated a net loss of £11.7m — at least reduced from a loss of £14.9m in the fourth quarter a year earlier.
