new zero gives electric bikes real street cred

Zero has launched the SR/F, the electric motorcycle manufactuer’s most powerful motorcycle yet. Zero’s new streetfighter is said to deliver “industry-leading power, control and connection in the first fully ‘smart’ motorcycle”. The SR/F incorporates Zero’s new operating system—Cypher III—which builds off the brand’s 13 years of industry-leading motorcycle and powertrain development. The SR/F sets a new standard for premium electric performance.

The air-cooled SR/F delivers 190 Nm (140 ft-lb) of torque and 110bhp and a single charge delivers a range of up to 200 miles.
Using the Cypher III operating system, the SR/F is reported to be the first commercially available connected motorcycle on the market. Connectivity gives the rider the ability to monitor the bike in four main areas: Bike Status & Alerts, Charging, Ride Data Sharing, System Upgrades and Updates.
Premium model with 6 kW Rapid Charger, fly screen, heated hand grips and aluminum bar ends: £19,990 (£18,490 effective price with £1500 Plug In Motorcycle Grant).
Standard model with 3 kW Rapid Charger: £17,990 (£16,490 effective price with £1500 Plug In Motorcycle Grant).
UK customers can purchase a Zero SR/F for less than £250 per month on a PCP deal.
