Nineteen lap records on Bridgestone MotoGP tyres

Bridgestone is claiming another record-breaking year in its role as Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP.

The season concluded at the Valencia Grand Prix on Sunday, 9 November, with Bridgestone successfully completing its thirteenth season in the premier class of Motorcycle Grand Prix racing and its seventh as Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP.

The season brought a total of ten new race lap records and nine qualifying lap records were set during the 2014 season on Bridgestone BATTLAX MotoGP race tyres.

For the second consecutive year, a record number of fans watched MotoGP races, with a total of 2,473,624 spectators attending the 18 rounds around the world, joining the hundreds of millions of fans around the globe tuning in to watch the races on television.

Spanish sensation Marc Marquez won his second successive MotoGP World Championship, as the Repsol Honda rider scored a record 13 victories in a premier-class season, to cement his legendary status in the sport.
