Oxford marks 20 years with HJC

Oxford recently celebrated 20 years as UK distributor of HJC helmets by honouring HJC owner and founder WK Hong with a special plaque.

The presentation was made by Oxford MD Andrew Hammond to WK Hong at a gathering of trade customers, friends and staff of the helmet giant. This private event was held during the headline-sponsored HJC Grand Prix de France MotoGP at Le Mans. As he handed over the award, Hammond praised the extraordinary vision and single-minded determination which WK and his team have demonstrated to achieve their success.

When Oxford began importing the then-unknown South Korean brand in 1998, the products were fairly basic – two helmet models, both under £100. And the lids reportedly sold well from day one. Now, HJC is the world’s biggest selling helmet brand.
