PADGETTS CLASSIC TT ASSAULT

Batley-based dealer Padgetts will return to the Isle of Man for the second time this year in August, as Clive Padgett’s TT aces Bruce Anstey and Conor Cummins take on the Classic TT festival too.

Flying Kiwi Anstey, pictured, will be riding the Padgetts Yamaha YZR500 two-stroke GP bike once more, a genuine 1992-spec 150bhp reed-valve V4. Anstey took this machine to victory in its debut 2014 Superbike Classic TT appearance and came second in 2015. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire from last year’s race.

Manxman Cummins will also be on the Superbike start line again, astride a Padgetts Yamaha OW01 750cc four-stroke. And in addition, Anstey will aim to repeat his triumph in the inaugural Lightweight event last year, equipped with the same Padgetts Honda RS250.

Major specialist motorcycle insurance broker Bennetts is presenting sponsor for the 2017 Classic TT.
