BELTON BOUNCES BACK AT KTM

Bike industry marketing veteran Simon Belton, who was recently made redundant by Yamaha, has reappeared at KTM Sportmotorcycle UK in a new role of marketing, events and motorsport manager.

Commenting on this appointment, KTM UK managing director Shaun Sisterson said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon to the team and his vast industry experience will help propel the KTM UK marketing function to the next level and enable to company to continue growing.”

Belton added: “I am really excited and privileged to join a great team of people that work with one of the most focused brands in motorcycling. Although the brand is celebrating its 80th year in 2014, KTM is a company that rarely looks back, pushing to the future by developing relevant products for the market, which is a very exciting ethos to work under. I am very humbled that Shaun has entrusted me with the role so that he can focus on the more strategic issues for the company as a whole, its direction and development.”

Belton originally joined the British bike business in 1979 at Kawasaki. He moved to Yamaha in 2006.
