BSA signs up to appear at the 2024 ABR Festival

It’s a sign of the strong appeal of the Adventure Bike Rider Festival event that even firms without any discernible adventure product want to participate. That certainly applies to BSA, with only one model currently in its range – the 650 Gold Star – which is very far from the rugged off-road style machines usually championed by the Festival. BSA has been teasing a scrambler model at various shows this year, though – so you’d perhaps not be too surprised to see the firm display a new offroad-style bike at the show.

The team at the ABR Festival have marked the deal by recreating a vintage BSA advert from a 1961 sales brochure. The sales brochure was originally printed and distributed in the USA and showed riders with an assortment of BSA vehicles, in front of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon – not so far from the BSA factory itself and, coincidentally, the home of the ABR company.

Bryn Davies, ABR Festival managing director, said, ‘We’re delighted BSA has chosen the festival to showcase its motorcycles. Having a brand with such cultural and historical significance at the show will add a new depth to the event for our visitors to enjoy. It felt only right to collaborate and honour the history of both brands by recreating this iconic photograph, originally shot in Stratford-upon-Avon, with some of our team.’
