Circuit of Wales granted planning permission

The Circuit of Wales has finally been granted planning permission by the Welsh government.

The approval follows an eight-day public inquiry in March and comes despite opposition from environmentalists. Due diligence of all financial backers is now set to commence, after which work will begin to complete the £315million venue. All funding is said to be in place and news of when work will start is expected shortly.

The circuit, located at Ebbw Vale, is set to host the British round of MotoGP until 2019 and is expected to become a major player in motorsport, attracting thousands of fans each year.

An effort will be made to enhance the nature conservation within the local area as part of the plans.
