Ducati superbike and new Triumph set to steal show

Ducati, Ducati Scrambler, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, Indian, Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Royal Enfield and Harley Davidson have all confirmed for the Scottish Motorcycle Show to be held at Ingliston on 9/10 March. The line-up of new metal will include superbike missiles such as Ducati’s V4R Panigale and the UK debut of Triumphs new 1200cc Speed Twin.

Ducati’s V4R superbike is Bologna’s full factory assault on the WSB title. This homologation machine boasts some fascinating details including carbon fibre ‘monoplane’ winglets and compact V4 motor (to comply with WSB rules) that revs to more than 16,000 rpm. The £34,995 V4R is sure to be one of the most photographed bikes at the show.

The event will also be the first public outing in Scotland for Triumphs new Speed Twin  – a pumped up 1200cc version of the very popular 900cc Street Twin. Packing 50% more power than its sibling, the Speed Twin is inspired by the iconic Speed Twin of 1937 and features many performance parts from the blistering Thruxton R including a similar frame design.
