Fireblade strikes a chord in its 30th year

Summer’s here and we’re making the most of it by getting out riding as much as possible. But what’s hot on the MCN website this month? It seems the 30th anniversary of the Honda Fireblade has struck a chord, with the superbike creeping into the top three most popular bikes for sale on the site, usurping Yamaha’s R1. Honda’s perennially popular NC750X and CB500X remain in first and second place respectively, though.

The ‘Blade also made it to second spot in our most popular sports bike reviews, sandwiched between two middleweights – the Yamaha R7 and the Aprilia RS660.

Yamaha’s new Ténéré World Raid was the most-read adventure bike review, followed by Ducati’s new DesertX and the Honda NC750X from 2014.

Aprilia tops the naked charts with the Tuono 660, while Yamaha’s XSR900 and Triumph’s Trident 660 round off that top three.

There’s no change in the overall popularity of Hondas – they’re the most read manufacturer on the site – and naked bikes remain the most popular bodystyle.
