As a leading provider within the motorcycle hire, repair and claims management field, Plantec Assist has recently bought an additional 250 Yamaha Nmax scooters to strengthen its fleet.

Plantec Assist head of operations Dave Beetison explained the rationale behind this decision: “Over the past 12 months, there has been a significant shift in customer needs and behaviour, as more are using scooters to commute. There has also been a huge increase in demand for food delivery riders and couriers.

“They want more from their hire scooter, a higher specification and features like USB ports and heated grips. The Nmax is perfect in this role. We are delighted to have invested in these fantastic scooters. We believe that now is a good time to take stock and ensure that we have the correct machines available, for when volumes return later in the year.

“We want to be known as the go-to provider for motorcycle claims, especially for commuters who are relying on scooters. They will gain in popularity as everyone starts to return to the office. We are confident that we’ve got a powerful offering in terms of the range of bikes and brands in our fleet, and look forward to going from strength to strength in 2021.”
