Staff journalist Simon Hancocks has been promoted to head of content at Crash Media Group’s Visordown digital motorcycle publishing presence, overseeing all editorial output on the website.

According to Crash Media, his elevation came after a string of impressive months in terms of site traffic, culminating in a record unique-user month in October 2021 just shy of 1.5 million — making Visordown the clear market leader for digital motorcycling content in the UK.

“Simon has proven over a number of years now that he is an excellent content creator and this promotion is a recognition of his hard work and dedication,” said Crash Media managing director William Miller.

Commenting on his appointment, Hancocks opined: “The past three years have seen massive growth for Visordown and that is something I’m very proud of having played a small part in. With the UK motorcycle industry going through a period of flux currently, being head of content for such a big brand at such an important time is a real honour.”

Miller has also welcomed Samantha Creedon-Gray, a former accounts manager at MCN publisher Bauer Media, to the Visordown team as its new commercial manager. “We have been searching for the right individual to take Visordown to the next level commercially for some time and Sam really fits that bill,” he added. “She has a huge amount of experience in the motorcycle industry and will be a great addition.”
