Honda chooses Motul Lubricants

In an initial three-year agreement, Motul Lubricants has joined forces with Honda UK for the first time in the company’s history as an integral part of the dealer network and as an official lubricant partner to Honda’s race teams in British Superbikes and International Road Racing. Motul will also be added to the Honda UK range of lubricants and motorcycle care range in dealerships throughout the UK.

Neil Fletcher, head of motorcycles, Honda UK, commented, “We are delighted to announce a new working partnership with Motul this year. They have had a wealth of success across many motorsport series worldwide, and I have been impressed by their passion and professionalism. It’s great to form a new partnership together in such an important and special year as the Fireblade celebrates its 30th anniversary in both BSB and road racing.

“We have a busy few months ahead, with testing starting soon, the BSB championship on the near horizon and we can’t wait to head back to Northern Ireland for the NW200 and then on to the Isle of Man TT, with Glenn Irwin making his first start and John McGuiness his 100th!”

Honda is also fielding four factory riders in BSB in 2022, with reigning Superstock 1000 champion Tom Neaves competing alongside BSB race winner Glenn Irwin and two Japanese riders, Takumi Takahashi and Ryo Mizuno. Irwin and long-time Motul brand ambassador John McGuiness will race on the roads. This year will mark Honda’s 20th year in BSB, its 70th year at the IOM TT and the Fireblade SP’s 30th birthday.
