JAPANESE STILL RULE THE ROOST

Honda once again dominated UK powered two-wheeler sales in 2014, posting a six per cent registrations increase to 18,110 units. This represented a 17.9 per cent annual market share, down from 18.6 per cent in 2013.

Yamaha was runner-up, eating into Honda’s outright leadership with a more impressive 19.3 per cent surge in registrations at 12,998 units. Yamaha’s market share improved from 11.9 per cent in the previous year to 12.8 per cent.

Together, this pair of Japanese brands maintain their grip on almost a third of the entire British PTW market.
