late offer for BLD bikes and other assets

A late offer has been made for the motorcycle fleet and certain other business assets of Bikers Legal Defence which went into administration on 9 September. As a result, the auction of the company’s assets has been called off.

BLD provided a motorcycle, moped and scooter claims management service, PTW and helmet hire, PTW repairs, storage for damaged bikes at BLD’s service centres in UK or Northern Ireland pending repair or salvage disposal, and purchase of new motorcycles, mopeds and scooters with considerable discounts.

The company has trading names including: Altamura Concepts, Ministry of Bikes, The MoB, FI International and Salvage Solutions.

Danny Dartnaill and Simon Girling of BDO LLP were appointed joint administrators on 9 September.

A message on BLD’s website states: “Unfortunately, owing to the company’s financial position there are limited staff to take calls. Please email any further queries to: [email protected].”  There follows a series of questions and answers to provide information for customers with claims-related and general repairs, MOT and servicing queries; and for dealers with unfulfilled orders.
