“LONGEST DAY” CHARITY CHALLENGE

Jason Fieldsend of bike trade insurance specialist Wilby is set to tackle the Land’s End to John O’Groats run on 21 June, raising funds for Cancer Research. But his attempt has a very special difference.

The self-inflicted challenge he faces is to complete this 874-mile ride on a seriously-knackered Japanese scrapper costing less than £300. As Fieldsend explains: “It isn’t going to be easy and I may need the help of dealers across the country to nurse her through.”

Apart from assistance to keep such an old nail rolling for the full distance, he is also asking for your generosity, through contributions to the charity. With £75,000 already raised for Cancer Research, his target this year is to break the £100,000 barrier.
