lord jones takes on non-executive role

Former director-general of the CBI and government minister Lord Digby Jones has been appointed to the board of a Worcestershire-headquartered communications group which has worked with the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Triumph Motorcycles and Nationwide.

DRPG has hired Lord Jones as its first non-executive director and will take up his position from today (1 May).

Lord Jones, who serves as non-executive chairman of Triumph Motorcycles, said: “I’ve gotten to know the DRPG team over the years and have watched them grow into a force in the industry. I just know I can help and support them enter the next phase in their growth and it’s hugely exciting to be a part of it.”

Chief executive Dale Parmenter added: “Digby brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts from around the globe.

“We have known Digby for many years and it just felt the right time for him to become our first non-exec director.”
