MCN Awards winners revealed

The annual Motor Cycle News (MCN) Awards once again recognised excellence across the motorcycle industry, with standout performances from dealers and manufacturers.
Webbs of Lincoln and Peterborough were named Single Franchise Dealer of the Year, while Rideworx of Wokingham won Multi-Franchise Dealer of the Year. Triumph Motorcycles was named Manufacturer of the Year for its broad range, from off-roaders and Moto2 to adventure, retro, and roadster models.

KTM’s 990 RC R was named Bike of the Year, topping a competitive field. In a first for China, CFMoto’s 450MT became the first Chinese motorcycle to win an MCN award, taking Best A2 Bike.

MCN also celebrated individual achievements: Moto3 racer Eddie O’Shea was Young Rider of the Year, and veteran Jeremy McWilliams received a Lifetime Achievement award. The Chris Dabbs Best of Biking prize went to the organisers and participants of Dave Day: The Last Ride Home, a charity event commemorating the late Hairy Biker, Dave Myers.

MCN editor Emma Franklin said: “The MCN Awards have recognised the very best in motorcycling since 1968, with every winner chosen by our experienced judging panel after independent testing. This year’s winners reflected both the industry’s strength and its changing shape: KTM’s engaging 990 RC R was named Overall Bike of the Year after impressing every judge with its fun factor and usability. Triumph’s breadth and ambition earned it Manufacturer of the Year, while CFMoto’s 450MT became the first Chinese motorcycle to win an MCN Award, thanks to superb road and trail performance.

“We also celebrated the people and communities that make motorcycling special, with awards for Jeremy McWilliams and the Dave Day team. Presenting our awards during the MCIA Special Members Group meeting was a great success, before the evening celebration brought everyone together to showcase all that’s brilliant about British motorcycling. Congratulations to all our winners.”
